Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Development Education

The Doctor of Philosophy in Development Education produces highly skilled human resources who can undertake scholarly work, conduct prioritized educational research, and provide leadership in institution building, value training, and management of educational institutions. Its thrust is developing productive leaders in education who can promote national identity, cultural consciousness, moral integrity, spiritual vigor, and advanced knowledge while serving as catalysts for an improved educational system through relevant research, effective and efficient educational service and practice, and other scholarly endeavors for the improvement of human life.

Course Description

ED 801 STATISTICS II (ADVANCED STATISTICAL ANALYSIS)

Application of non-parametric statistical test for two independent samples, multiple regression analysis, co-variance analysis; application of some multivariate techniques like discriminating analysis, factor analysis, and canonical correlation in social, behavioral, and educational researches. Pre-requisite : Statistics I or its equivalent and sufficient background in mathematics

Ethics and value theory of teaching and learning; examination of classical and contemporary philosophies vis a vis education; systematic study of educational aims, content, methods and values, and its manifestation in development education; enhancement of educational leadership and management for promoting cultural consciousness, moral integrity, and knowledge through research; other scholarly activities to uplift and improve human life.
